Characters featured are Percy (10 piece puzzle), James (12 piece puzzle), Charlie (14 piece puzzle) and Thomas (16 piece puzzle). Each character is shown against a different coloured background so the puzzle pieces are easier to find, sort and assemble. The individual puzzle sizes vary but are on average 33.5 x 24cm. Made in thick, strong board.
Puzzles are an excellent way to encourage a wide range of pre-school skills including observation, colour and shape matching, imagination and communication. Ask questions about the picture or get your child to talk about the picture – for example, ask them what colour each of the characters is or what colour the backgrounds are. Slightly older children may be able to recognize the numbers for each engine (Thomas is number 1, James is number 5 etc…).
